How To Get To The Surrey Technology Centre (STC)

The STC is located on the The Surrey Research Park in Guildford, Surrey and is easily accessible by road and rail. It is only a short distance from both London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports.

By Road
From London on A3 and M25 (J10) (travelling south)

Exit the A3 where sign posted to The University of Surrey, The Cathedral, The Hospital and The Research Park (do not take earlier exits signed to Guildford)

Take the third exit off the Cathedral roundabout. Drive through the underpass, below A3

Go across the first roundabout and through the traffic light-controlled crossroads. This will bring you onto Gill Avenue (the Royal Surrey County Hospital is on your right)

At the top of Gill Avenue you come onto The Surrey Research Park via a roundabout – take the third exit into Occam Road

The entrance to the STC is on your right, shortly after entering Occam Road

Park in a designated visitor space located at the front of the STC. A permit will be issued by Reception staff.

By Road
From Portsmouth on A3 (travelling north)

Exit A3 where sign posted to The University of Surrey, The Cathedral, The Hospital and The Research Park

Take the second exit off the roundabout at the end of slip road

Go across the first roundabout and through the traffic light-controlled crossroads. This will bring you onto Gill Avenue (the Royal Surrey County Hospital is on your right)

At the top of Gill Avenue you come onto The Surrey Research Park via a roundabout – take the third exit into Occam Road

The entrance to the STC is on your right, shortly after entering Occam Road

By Rail

Guildford Station is on the London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour line, which has an excellent service

There are four fast trains per hour to and from London Waterloo

Once at Guildford Station, either take a taxi outside the front entrance – or use the local bus service. Some buses travel to the Park itself, others to the Hospital, from where it is a short walk to the STC.

By Air – From London Heathrow airport

Railair coaches are available from Guildford Station to Heathrow Airport at very low cost with service throughout 24 hours.

By Air – From London Gatwick airport

There are two trains each hour from Gatwick Airport to Guildford Station.

You may need to change at Clapham Junction although there is a direct service which takes only 40 minutes.

Buses

Stagecoach buses have exclusive access to Stag Hill and Manor Park offering a cheaper and more frequent bus service between the STC and Guildford town centre via Guildford train station.

Stagecoach offer a modern, environmentally friendly fleet of Surrey University branded buses, complete with free Wi-Fi, USB charging points and contactless payments.

Buses run every 10 minutes from town through to Surrey University’s campuses and The Surrey Research Park on week days and every 15-20 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays
